UPDATES (as of March 28, 2026)

1. My Zumba Lift has a NEW class time! Starting 4/5/26, the class is moving from 530pm to 11am on Sunday. Join me at Mililani 24Hr gym on Sunday at 11am for a music-driven resistance/strength training class. We will also dance for fun!


2. Starting the first week of March, my Zumba GOLD class at the Mililani Rec 1 will be moved from Thursday to Tuesday - same time at 10:45am. At the same time, my Zumba class at Kapiolani 24Hr Fitness will be moved from Tuesday to Thursday - same time at 11:30am.

Plus, I am adding a new class at Kapiolani 24Hr gym - I will be teaching Silver Sneakers every Thursday starting March, from 10:30am to 11:30am. Come and join me, to get strong together!


3. I am currently teach Zumba + Lift, a brand new format that was just officially launched by Zumba on January 12, 2026. I teach this at the Mililani 24Hr Fitness gym every Sunday from 5:30pm-6:30pm (note: class time will be moved to 11am, starting 4/5). It combines high to moderate intensity dance cardio with strength & resistance training segments. 


The class is structured like an interval training session. In other words, we alternate between 3-5 mins of dance cardio with 3-7 mins of strength training. For the strength training segments or blocks, we use dumbbells and resistance bands (in the future). We also do bodyweight exercises. Lots of functional movements such as squats, lunges and deadlifts, are included. We perform upper body as well as lower body strength training. The goal is to burn more calories and build cardiovascular stamina, while increasing muscular strength and endurance, improving core strength, balance, coordination and mobility. Equipment such as dumbbells and bands, will be provided by the gym.


4. I started a new class at Mililani Rec 1, called Senior Fitness, on July 8, 2025. Designed to meet the needs of adults aged 60 and older (though younger people are welcome), my focus is on improving muscular strength and endurance, balance, flexibility, coordination, mobility, and cognition. Chair Yoga and Chair Pilates will be incorporated to improve your flexibility and core strength. Functional fitness that mimics daily movements, will be included to help you improve your ability to perform everyday tasks. Exercises are done seated and standing, with background music as a guide to pace the exercises.


Bring 2 dumbbells and a resistance tubing (with handles). Dumbbells may be 2-lb, 3-lb or 5-lb each. We recommend light to medium resistance for the resistance tubing. People new to resistance training should start with 2-lb dumbbells and light resistance tubing. Please come dressed in comfortable workout clothing, athletic shoes, and don’t forget your water bottle.
