UPDATES (as of May 28, 2026)
1. My Zumba Gold class on Tuesday morning, will be moved from Mililani Rec 1 to Milillani Rec 3. There is also going to be a new class time - 9:30am to 10:30am - every Tuesday at Rec 3. We do Latin songs. oldies, disco music as well as current pop songs! I also include a "balance track" to help my participants improve on their balance and coordination.
2. My Zumba Lift has a NEW class time! Starting 4/5/26, the class is moving from 530pm to 11am on Sunday. Join me at Mililani 24Hr gym on Sunday at 11am for a music-driven resistance/strength training class. We will also dance for fun! Zumba + Lift is the latest format officially launched by Zumba on January 12, 2026. It combines high to moderate intensity dance cardio with strength & resistance training segments.
The class is structured like an interval training session. We alternate between dance cardio with strength training. For the strength training segments or blocks, we use dumbbells and resistance bands. We also do bodyweight exercises too. Lots of functional movements such as squats, lunges and deadlifts, are included. We perform upper body as well as lower body strength training. The goal is to burn more calories and build cardiovascular stamina, while increasing muscular strength and endurance, improving core strength, balance and coordination. Equipment such as dumbbells and bands, are provided by the gym.
